About

Luis Suarez’s journey in the restoration industry began in 2013, starting as a technician with a local company in his hometown. Through years of field work and eventually advancing into operations management, he gained firsthand experience in how restoration projects are performed, managed, and evaluated under real conditions not just in theory, but in high pressure environments where decisions carry real consequences.

As he progressed, Luis began to recognize a pattern. The industry he believed in, built on protecting people, property, and livelihoods, was increasingly being influenced by external pressures, poor documentation practices, and decisions made without fully understanding the conditions. These challenges didn’t just affect project outcomes; they impacted the technicians doing the work, the businesses trying to operate correctly, and the property owners relying on them.

Rather than accept this as the standard, Luis focused on understanding why these issues continued to happen. That pursuit led him to develop his knowledge across four key areas: technical execution, scientific principles, leadership development, and business practices. By building across these disciplines, he gained a more complete understanding of how restoration work is performed, evaluated, and challenged not just in the field, but in how decisions are made, documented, and later defended.

To strengthen this foundation, Luis pursued extensive education across multiple disciplines. In addition to earning IICRC certifications culminating in the Triple Master designation, he completed advanced training through the Restoration Industry Association (RIA) in building construction and contents science, project managment. He also gained technical coursework through EMSL Analytical focused on indoor air quality, contamination assessment, and the interpretation of laboratory based environmental testing, including fire residues, sewage contamination, endotoxins, and hazardous material considerations such as asbestos.

He further expanded his development beyond technical restoration by completing programs such as Train-the-Trainer and HarvardX coursework in public speaking & writing, and energy & thermodynamics fundamentals, strengthening his ability to communicate complex concepts and educate professionals at different levels. His background also includes education in lead safety, mold remediation, industrial hygiene basics, and OSHA related health and safety practices, also gaining knowledge under the george washington university school of medicine and health sciences for understanding mold illness: the basics. This has lead for Luis on providing a broader understanding of environmental and occupational risks associated with restoration work.

Over time, his work expanded beyond production and management into consulting, training, and project evaluation. He began working directly with restoration professionals, property owners, and legal teams, reviewing site conditions, analyzing documentation, and providing technical reports used in evaluations and pre-litigation processes. His experience includes performing independent inspections, developing restoration scope, and evaluating whether work performed can be supported based on observed conditions and industry practices.

Luis currently serves on the 2026 IICRC S590 Consensus Body, contributing to the development of industry standards, and has been recognized by the IICRC as a subject matter expert. He is also an active member of the Restoration Industry Association (RIA) Education Committee, where he supports the advancement of education within the industry.

In 2025, Luis was awarded the RIA Volunteer of the Year, receiving the honor during his first time attending the convention. This marked his first nomination, and he was selected for the award in that same year, an unprecedented distinction in RIA history, as this progression typically takes multiple years of recognition and involvement.
This milestone reflects not only his contributions to the industry, but also represents a moment of honor for the Latino community within restoration.

His work and perspective have led to recognition across the industry. Luis has been invited as a speaker at The Experience Convention & Trade Show, and has appeared as a guest on platforms such as IAQ Radio and the ISSA Media Podcast, where he shares insight on restoration practices, industry challenges, and the importance of proper evaluation and documentation.

He is the first published dual-language contributor to Cleaning & Restoration Magazine, with upcoming first dual-language publications in Restoration & Remediation Magazine, further expanding his effort to make high level restoration knowledge accessible to both English and Spanish speaking professionals.

Through his training efforts, Luis has worked with teams across multiple states, delivering onsite education focused on real job conditions, documentation practices, and decision making under pressure. His bilingual approach has positioned him as a recognized voice in helping bridge the gap for Spanish speaking professionals within the restoration industry.

Driven by these experiences, Luis founded RestorRight Bilingual Academy with a clear purpose: to provide restoration professionals with the knowledge, awareness, and practical understanding needed to operate at a higher level. His focus is not only on the science of restoration, but on how decisions are made, how work is evaluated, and how professionals can stand behind what they do when it is questioned.

He remains committed to improving the industry by addressing the gap between field execution, documentation, and decision making, ensuring that both professionals and property owners are better equipped to understand what is happening, what should be done, and what can be supported.

Based in Texas, Luis Suarez serves clients nationwide.
